Recognizing Fertile Days

Understanding fertility is important, such as understanding cancer fertility problems, when you are most fertile, and how to preserve fertility. Many people trying to get pregnant find that they cannot find the days when they are at their most fertile, and thus they have no idea whether or not their efforts to get pregnant will succeed. If you are trying to get pregnant, it is best to know as much as possible about how to recognize the days when you are most fertile. By being able to figure out the days that you are at your most fertile, you can know when to have sex in order to conceive as naturally as possible.

The first thing to do is to keep track of your menstrual cycle, particularly your periods. If you have a regular period, you will find that you can easily determine when you are at your most fertile just by marking down the days when you are bleeding worst. Mark your calendar on the first day that you begin to bleed, and that will be the first day of your menstrual cycle. Count each successive day until your period comes again, and that will be the length of your cycle. If you aren’t sure if you have a regular cycle, simply repeat the process for another month and count the days. If you aren’t regular, simply average the number of days of both months to figure out your average cycle.

It will take you a few months to get this measurement right, but you should be able to easily figure out how long your average menstrual cycle is. Once you have figured out the length of your cycle, you will need to count the number of days until you reach the halfway point in your cycle. This is the time known as ovulation, which is when the ripened egg is released from the ovaries to make the journey down the fallopian tubes. You simply need to find the halfway point in your menstrual cycle, and this will be the day that you will be at your most fertile.

Those with irregular menstrual cycles have a number of ways to track their cycle on a monthly basis. One of these methods is by using the basal body temperature, which will go up slightly when you are ovulating. You can also use an ovulatory prediction kit, which measures the amounts of LH in your urine to determine when you are at your most fertile. You can also check your cervical mucus to try and notice any changes, and this low-cost method of tracking your body’s changes can be a great way to determine if you are ovulating or not.

Once you have figured out when your ovulation is, that is when you need to have sex. During the period that you are at your most fertile is when you should be having sex, as that means that it is more likely for you to get pregnant at that time of the month than at any other. Seeing as the egg is resting in the fallopian tubes directly adjacent to the vaginal canal, the sperm will not have to travel nearly as far to fertilize the egg. This will make it much easier for those who are trying to get pregnant, and anyone tracking their fertility will know that the days immediately before and after ovulation are the best times to have sex.

Fertility and getting pregnant is pretty much a numbers game. The more you have sex, the more likely you are to get pregnant. Those trying to get pregnant are recommended to have sex at least three times a week, though three times a day is often better. Having sex in the right position is important, and you should try and have sex as much as possible. Don’t only have more sex immediately before and after ovulation, but increase the amount of sex you have during the month as well. The more you do it, the more likely you will be to succeed.

The truth of the matter is that pregnancy can easily be achieved just by tracking your fertility. If both the man and the woman are healthy, there should be nothing that will prevent them from conceiving a child through regular intercourse. Tracking fertility is one of the best ways to naturally increase the chances of that pregnancy actually happening, but using fertility tracking devices and methods will only work on the natural elements provided by nature.
